Starting during my time as Mayor of Pinecrest - and continuing to this day - we would offer the Hibiscus Room of Pinecrest Gardens, at no charge, to local artists who wanted a space to exhibit their work. Pinecrest made improvements to the space to serve that purpose. Dozens of local artists have had the same opportunity with no bidding and no contract. Raquel Regalado is distorting the facts to turn an accomplishment I’m proud of into an attack because in four years on the Commission she’s got nothing to be proud of.
